Baby Issac

On December 20th Wes and I welcomed our 3rd nephew, Issac. He is the son of Liz and Steve, Wes's sister. He is so cute and it was great to have him here before Christmas. I cannot believe that we have three nieces and three nephews all under two. It has been a crazy couple of years but so good. We can't wait to welcome more babies into our family in the future.

Visiting the Sapphire Princess

This Christmas season, for our holiday party at work we got to go and visit the Sapphire Princess. Working at Princess Cruises has its perks and instead of having our holiday party at the office they had it onboard. We took a bus down to San Pedro and boarded the ship. We got to go on a tour and then have lunch. The food was amazing and afterwards we saw a show. Wes and I had a blast and it was nice Wes got to go and pretend he was on a cruise since he can't go on the one we are all going on in a few weeks due to work. It was a nice way to start the holiday season.

Lakers vs Pistons

A few weeks ago, my dad got tickets to the Lakers vs the Pistons at the Staples Center. I was so excited because I have never seen the Lakers in LA. The only Laker game I had ever been to was in Salt Lake when they were playing the Jazz so I was really excited when my dad called and invited us. We got to sit in a box because my dad knows some people who have a box. It was so cool and I was loving it. In between watching the game I was looking for celebrities and found of course Jack Nickleson and Leonardo DiCaprio who are always at the home games. Also there was Kelsey Grammer with his wife and the most exciting one for me was David Beckham. He was there with his kids and could possibly be the cutest dad ever. Even though the Lakers decided to lose their first game of the season while we were there it was still a lot of fun. GO LAKERS!

Halloween

This halloween was pretty laid back. We were invited to a Halloween party by Taylor and Mari. I wasn't planning on dressing up this year but when we got the invite we had to scramble for some costumes. Wes went as his usual soldier and I picked up some fairy wings. I know we are pretty original with our costumes but it was last minute! Anyway we ended up having a great time with Taylor and Mari so it was all worth it. On actual halloween I went to a wedding with my Dad which was eventful in itself. All in all it was a good halloween.

San Diego

At the beginning of October the whole family decided to head to San Diego for a little weekend trip. My dad was at a conference down there and we decided to come and stay with him. He got us all Sea World tickets and we had a great time. Bridget and Ethan loved all the animals and could not get enough. We really had a good time seeing Shamu and all the other animals. We got two day passes so we went two days so we could take in all of the Sea World experience. I did end up getting pooped on by a bird but it turned out ok. We had a super time and can't wait for next year!

It took like 45 min for Wes to take this picture

We just got off the rapid ride and we were soaking
wet. Also, a bird has just pooped on me...good
times!

Happy Birthday Wes!!

On September 22nd Wes turned 25! We had a family party with his family on Saturday and another family party with my family on Sunday. At his parents house we had moose tacos with homemade cheesecake made by his sister, Katie. It was amazing! Then when we went to my parents house we had steak and potatoes as well as an icecream cake that I made for him. Ethan helped him open his presents because he was getting ready for his own birthday which was on the 26th! He had a great birthday and can't wait for more to come!

The Tonight Show and The Dodger Game

On Thursday, July 31st we had that opportunity to go to the taping of the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Wes's friend Ricky was able to get us tickets to and so I took off work and we went down there with some of Wes's friends. It ended up that we got to sit in the front row and so we were up close and personal. Rosie Perez was on and the creator of Family Guy so no one too famous but it was still really fun. Apparently July was hotdog month so the audience was given free hotdogs, not that we needed anymore that day. After the taping we went to the Dodger game because it was Mormon night. Since we went with all boys we bought tickets for the all you can eat pavilion. We could eat all the Dodger dogs, nachos, peanuts, and popcorn that we wanted. I had my fill after round one but all the boys definetly ate more than their tickets cost. The Dodgers ended up losing but it really didn't matter. We had a great time regardless even with the stomach aches that came after!

4th of July

This 4th of July was great. I was suppose to work but the Wed before I had eye surgery. I got Lasik surgery so I can now see without any contacts or glasses. It is probably the best thing in the world and I am forever indebted to my parents for helping me with it. I could see as soon as the surgery was over and it only lasted like a min. Anyway, back to the 4th. I was suppose to work but since I had surgery, I had to recuperate. While I was doing that, Wes and I went down to Sunland to watch the parade. When I was little, I loved it but now I realized that I didn't know
any better. We had fun just making fun of it. There were a few cool parts to it like the motorcycle cops and the big trucks. We met up with some friends and went swimming afterward. Then we went back up to Valencia for more fun at the Beckstroms for a BBQ and more swimming. We watched the fireworks at Stevenson Ranch park and had a great time. Thank goodness I didn't have to work!

Disneyland!

Our one year anniversary was on May 5th and I have been begging Wes to take me to Disneyland since we started dating. I got him to agree to go for our anniversary so on Tuesday, May 6th we actually went. I have a season pass and my Dad was able to get a discounted ticket for Wes so there was no excuses. We woke up really early and drove down there but I guess I read the internet wrong because instead of the park opening at 8 it opened at 10 so we were over an hour early. Thankfully they opened the park early. We started over in California Adventure because Wes has never been there and rode all the rides in just over an hour. There was no one there and we just walked on everything. The longest we waited was just 20 min so it was a great day. We had so much fun and it was the perfect way to celebrate our anniversary. I can't wait for many more years to come, it has been great so far!

New Job!

I know that I haven't posted anything in a while and that is because I started a new job at Princess Cruises in March. I have been super busy and trying to juggle things. I started as a reservation agent and now modify and make new bookings. It's great and I survived the month training and am now out on my own. I talk to people all day discussing fun vacations that they are going to be taking...what could be better! I just try to invision myself going on all the fun cruises that I talk about all day! Since I am now working full time, I seem to have less time for other things and this blog has taken a backseat. Wes is still in school and I can't wait for this semester to be over. All in all things are going great. I celebrated my 24th birthday and amazingly it fell on my day off. I got to spend it with family and it was absolutely perfect. I can't believe that I'm all grown up and have a big girl job!

Carpenteria

Over President's Day weekend the whole family went to Carpenteria, CA for the weekend. My mom had reserved the spot so we decided to jump in the car and take advantage of the nice Southern California weather. It is always colder at the beach than at home but it was sunny most of the time and warm enough for only a light jacket. It was perfect weather for February. The twins are getting older and Jessica thought that it would be fun to take them up there was well. She didn't stay the night but it is close enough to come up for the day. The babies got their first beach trip and it was pretty fun. Can't wait for the summer!

Valentine's Day

This was our first Valentine's Day married so I wanted to make it as special as I could. I'm really not that into this holiday but I thought it would be nice. We both wanted to stay in because it would be so crowed everywhere. I made dinner and had a romantic candelit dinner. We had salmon with a pineapple salsa, rice and my favorite, GREEN BEANS! Wes brought me home some flowers and I gave him some See's candy. He also brought me home Golden Spoon. I was in heaven! We finished off the night with some crepes and then watched Lady and the Tramp. It could not have been a better Valentine's Day.

Disneyland!

On Monday the 11th I went to Disneyland! I went with my mom and my brother, Brian. We had so much fun. I am taking advantage of the time off that I have right now because I won't be able to just go to Disneyland in the middle of the week in a couple weeks because I am starting a new job. Wes didn't get to go this time because he had to work but we are planning to go for our anniversary which is only a few months away. I absolutely love Disneyland and was thrilled to go.

Camping in the Snow

Anyone that knows Wes, knows that he LOVES to camp. Even when it is snowing in the mountains he absolutely loves to get outside. Since it has snowed so much in the mountains, Wes and his brother, Greg, thought it would be a good idea to go and sleep in the snow. They loaded up their backpacks and took off. I personally think that it's crazy but for some reason they love it. Anyways, the last time that they went they both brought snowboards with them. I think that Greg has been once or twice and Wes has never gone. So with having no experience they decided to strap on a board with their heavy backpacks and tried to get down the mountain. I guess they had fun but all of Wes' clothes were pretty wet when he got back home. Wes just could not stop laughing when he told me about the weekend that they had. I guess they do have fun!

Mexico Cruise

This past week Wes and I went on a cruise to Mexico! We had such a great time especially since Wes's dad, David, and his sister, Katie, came as well. The cruise stopped at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. The stop that we liked the best had to have been Cabo. It was absolutely gorgeous there and it was the perfect temperature all day. Wes and I took a water taxi out to Lover's Beach and tried to do some snorkeling. I've never had a problem any other time I've been but this time there were jelly fish. I found out that I am terrified of them especially after they stung me twice. Even with that it was so fun and I wish that we could have had more time. The food on the ship was also a highlight. I don't think we were ever hungry because we were constantly eating! The week was absolutely wonderful and so relaxing that we can't wait to book our next cruise!
